2011 Y-Tri date: Sunday, June 5

Y-Tri

This is the Bath Area Family YMCA's forth annual USAT sanctioned sprint distance triathlon (USAT sanctioned) for ages 15 and up. Register for the full tri (swim, bike, run), the aquabike (swim, bike), the duathlon (run, bike, run), or the sprint triathlon relay.

Not ready to compete in the adult tri? We also have a Teen Tri with shorter distances suited to school grades 6 to 12! USAT sanctioned.

Registration to the sprint triathlon, triathlon relay, and aquabike closes May 11 or before, if capacity is reached.

Registration to the duathlon and teen tri closes June 5 or before, if capacity is reached.

For more information about the Y-Tri, or to volunteer, contact Kevin Shute at the YMCA, or race director Phil Coyne.

The Full Sprint Tri

Want to do it all? The swim (525 yards) is in the Bath YMCA pool, the bike segment (10 miles) takes you along scenic Bath roads, and the run segment is a 5K (3.1 miles) through the streets of Bath.

Aquabike

Not a runner? For those who wish to complete only the swim and bike segments, this a s just the 525 yard swim and the 10 mile bike segments on the same course as the full sprint tri.

Duathlon

Not a swimmer? For those who wish to complete only the run and bike segments. This is a 5K (3.1 miles) run, 10 mile bike segments followed by a 5K (3.1 miles) run on the same course as the full sprint tri.

Relay

Tag, you're it! Compete as a relay team of three members with a different swimmer, cyclist and runner completing the full tri. Or, form a relay team with just two members- one team member completes two of the segments of your choice and one team member completes one segment.

Teen Tri

A fun tri for grades 6 through 12 with shorter distances suited for this age group, offered in conjunction with the Y-Tri sprint triathlon. This is a 125 yards swim, 2.75 mile bike ride followed by a run of 1 mile. The Teen Tri is USAT sanctioned.
