Fitness Center Information

The air-conditioned room contains a 20 station CYBEX strength training circuit, a stretching area and free weight equipment. There are 19 assorted aerobic conditioning stations, including: 1 Concept II Rowing machine, 1 Upper Body Ergometer, 2 Precor Elliptical Trainers, 2 Steppers, 2 Total Arc Trainers, 4 Upright Stationary Bikes, 2 Recumbent Stationary Bikes, and 6 treadmills.

Fitness Center Guidelines

Fitness center guidelines members age 18 and older have full use of the weight room. Members 14 thru 18 interested in using the weight room may do so after completing an equipment orientation with one of our staff. Members 12 – 13 may sign up for the youth and family workout opportunity program. (see programs for more info).

Fitness Center Orientation

The objective of this 60-minute orientation is to introduce members to the fitness center and start them on their first fitness program in the facility. Members learn proper settings on strength training equipment and how to operate cardiovascular equipment. Recommendations for amount of weight and number of repetitions will also be discussed. These sessions are free to members. Please call #443-4112 ext. 27 or stop by the fitness center to make an appointment.

Wellness Center Teen Hours

The wellness center is available to teens ages 14 years and older. We require that all teens under the age of 18 years go through an equipment orientation before using the fitness center. Please see the staff on duty to set up an appointment.
*YOUTH AGES 12-13 YRS OLD MAY WANT TO SIGN UP FOR THE FAMILY WORKOUT TIME.

Fitness Center Etiquette

• Proper attire must be worn. Shirts and athletic closed toed shoes must be worn at all times.

• No food or drink (except for water in a sealable, non-breakable container).

• Please wipe off machines after use. Spray and cleaning towels are provided. We do not provide towels for personal use—please bring your own workout towel.

• Please put weights away after use.

• Allow other members to work in between sets on exercises. Please do not rest on machines.

• We ask that you limit your time on the cardiovascular machines to 20 minutes when other members are waiting.

• For safety, children under 12 are not allowed in the fitness center

YOUTH AND FAMILY WORKOUT OPPORTUNITY

This program is designed for youths ages 12-13 and their parent(s)/gaurdian. Through this program youths will be allowed to workout in the fitness center with their parent(s). All participants of this program must attend an equipmnet orientation, fill out a par-q and sign a contract. All workouts must be done together. Please call #443-4112 ext 27 or stop by the fitness center to schedule an appointment.

One Time Fee: $30.00

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal training is the most effective way for an individual to achieve results from his or her fitness program. Because of the individual attention of a knowledgeable and experienced trainer, workouts are structured to the specific needs and goals of each client. Motivation, education and immediate feedback (for safety and form) are also advantages to personal training.

1 on 1 Session: 60 Minutes = $50.00
1 on 1 Session 5 Hour Package = $200.00
2 Person Personal Training: 1 Hour = $80.00

Other Information:
• Trainers are required to be certified through an accredited program. A degree in health and fitness, wellness promotion, health education, athletic training or related field is preferred. Experience in the field is required.

• All clients must be members of the bath ymca.

• Clients must train with personal trainers who represent the bath ymca.

• All appointments and communications will be between the client and the trainer.
