The annual YMCA Community Learn To Swim Campaign
A Monday - Thursday intensive swim program for children ages 6-11
This program is designed for 6 thru 11 year olds, who would benefit from a daily swim lesson. Kids learn the skills that are the basic building blocks of swimming. They also learn about pool safety, boating safety, and PFD usage. Participants are grouped together with children at their swimming level, either polliwog, guppy, or minnow. Classes meet Monday thru Thursday at 9 a.m. for two weeks.
Ages 6-11 Monday through Thursday
Session 1: 9-9:30 a.m. July 7th - July 17th
Session 2: 9-9:30 a.m. July 21st - 31st
Fee: Members: $60.00 Community Members: $80.00
Youth swimming programs help children of all ages experience positive attitudes and behaviors through the Developmental Asset Approach to healthy child development.
Children are exposed to the following assets during their swim lesson programming.
