The purpose of the Bath Area Family YMCA is to promote the health and well being of individuals, families and communities. We offer a broad range of programs and services to our members and the community. These programs and services will nourish mind, body, and spirit; promote life skills; and improve health and wellness. We are driven by the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We embrace the diversity of our community. We do not discriminate based on race, creed, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socio-economic status. We always strive to provide our services without regard for one’s ability to pay for such services.

Service and Mission

The Bath Area Family YMCA pulls together people like no other place! The Bath Area Family YMCA has opened its doors to people of all ages and incomes for 150 years. The new building that opened in April of 2001 served 8,000 participants in our surrounding communities last year. Remaining true to its mission the YMCA never turns people away due to an inability to pay.

Every year the YMCA gives financial aid to over 600 individuals worth over $100,000. This is possible thanks to support from our annual campaign, and the volunteers who helped to raise those funds.

Annual Campaign

You can be a part of this special resource by supporting the YMCA’s Annual Community Campaign. With your financial assistance more children, teens, families, and seniors will be able to enjoy the YMCA services regardless of their ability to pay. The Bath YMCA runs its Annual Community Campaign with community volunteers. You can help by volunteering or contributing to this community effort. Contributions are welcome all year to apply towards the YMCA’s annual support fund.

Capital Campaign

We are fortunate to have this beautiful new 58,000 square foot facility in our community. If you take a moment to look at the Y’s displayed on the wall in our lobby you will see that over 600 donors helped to pay for the bricks and mortar that we enjoy today. Thank you to all of you who helped in that Capital Campaign. We are on the road to completing this campaign but we are not there yet! Please consider a donation to the Capital Campaign.

Endowment / Heritage Club

What better way to leave a legacy then to support your YMCA’s Endowment fund? One of the characteristics of our day is the tendency of men and women to make provisions for the perpetuation of their influence beyond their lifetime. More and more persons of both large and small means are setting aside a portion of their resources to continue their benevolent interest in the people in their community.

You can make a lifetime gift or bequest to strengthen and extend the services of the Bath Area Family YMCA. The following will qualify you as a member of the YMCA Heritage Club:

• Making or revising a will directing a percentage, a fixed amount, or an eventual gift to the YMCA Endowment Fund.

• Naming the YMCA Endowment Fund as a primary or secondary beneficiary or owner of a new or existing insurance policy.

• Making an outright gift of money, property, stock, or insurance to the Endowment Fund of the YMCA.
